Principal's Bio

Dr. Nathan Lewis

Dr. Nathan Lewis was born in West Tennessee and has spent his entire life in this area. He graduated from North Side High School in 1999 and then went to Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, TN. He served as a youth minister in Dyersburg, TN for several years and then began his career in education. Principal Lewis has seventeen years of experience as an educator and has served fifteen years in JMCSS. He has worked in JMCSS as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, and principal. This is his tenth year to serve as the principal of Jackson Central-Merry Early College High. Lisa, his wife, also works in JMCSS and his daughter, Lily, is a college student. He serves as the board chairman for the Nicaragua Christian School in Leon, Nicaragua. He completed his doctorate degree in education at Freed-Hardeman University in 2020. Dr. Lewis is proud to lead the staff and students of JCM-ECH. He enjoys watching students attain their goals and challenging them to be productive citizens.
